Network Connection in Germany
Switch and router bring-up, uplinks, VLANs, cross-connects and connectivity validation with evidence. delivered in Germany by engineers who work to the standards, safety regime and documentation expectations of this market. Mobilisation from Frankfurt in 6 hours. Frankfurt is continental Europe's densest interconnection market, and German operators document everything. The commercial reality is that a field engineer who cannot produce a German-language test record and a signed Übergabeprotokoll is not useful, however fast they are.

The Germany market
Frankfurt is continental Europe's densest interconnection market, and German operators document everything. The commercial reality is that a field engineer who cannot produce a German-language test record and a signed Übergabeprotokoll is not useful, however fast they are.
We mobilise from Frankfurt and Berlin and Munich with a target of 6 hours to site. Frankfurt, Berlin and Munich hubs give six-hour mobilisation. German operators frequently require written change approval (Änderungsantrag) before the window opens — allow two working days.

How we deliver network connection here
Interconnection work in Germany is usually cross-connects, meet-me rooms and carrier hand-offs, where the failure mode is not a bad link but a wrong demarcation. We confirm the demarc, the media type and the carrier's own requirements before cutting anything.
- Cross-connect routes confirmed against the facility's meet-me-room records before the cable is pulled
- Media and connector type verified end to end — single-mode vs multimode, and polish type — before the hand-off
- Carrier demarcation documented and photographed so responsibility is unambiguous
- Labelling to the facility's administration scheme, not a private convention
- Link tested and the result attached to the cross-connect record, so a fault later is quick to isolate
Standards and compliance in Germany
Work is signed off against the standards that actually apply here, not the ones our engineers are most familiar with. In Germany that means DIN EN 50173 and DIN EN 50174 — the normative reference, not a guideline as the primary reference, with certification to iec 61935-1 as the test regime.
Site safety runs under DGUV Vorschrift 3. We supply certificates before mobilisation rather than on request.
Standards applied on site
- DIN EN 50173 and DIN EN 50174 — the normative reference, not a guideline
- DIN EN 50600 series, including 50600-4 for operational management
- IEC 61935-1 for installed cabling certification
- BSI IT-Grundschutz where the customer is public sector or critical infrastructure
- TISAX for automotive and supply-chain customers
- NIS2 through the German implementation, plus KRITIS obligations for affected operators
- EU GDPR under Bundesdatenschutzgesetz
Site access and safety
Personnel vetting is common in Frankfurt facilities. We provide named engineer lists in advance, photo ID on arrival and signed NDAs. Some operators require a Werkschutz escort for the full duration.
- DGUV Vorschrift 3 for electrical installations and equipment testing
- SiGeKo coordination and written Gefährdungsbeurteilung where construction work is involved
- SCC or equivalent safety certification for contract engineers on industrial sites

Local questions
Working in Germany
Do you provide test documentation in German?
Yes. Native XML test results plus a German-language PDF handover and Übergabeprotokoll. The record is written to be handed straight to an auditor.
Can your engineers satisfy BSI or TISAX audits?
Our engineers work to BSI IT-Grundschutz handling expectations and we can produce the personnel and process evidence a TISAX assessment asks for. We are not a certification body and will not claim to be.
How do you handle DGUV V3 obligations?
Electrical testing of equipment is a separate competence from our install scope. We can identify what needs testing and hand it to a qualified Prüftechniker, or work alongside yours.
